Claude Code — what creators actually do with it
Updated · 107 posts · 63 S/A-tier
107 saved posts in this archive tag Claude Code, from 50 creators, posted between 2025-07 and 2026-10 (22 S-tier, 41 A-tier, 37 B-tier, 7 C-tier). Most sit in AI Saves, Vol. 2 (16), AI Saves, Vol. 4 (16), AI Saves, Vol. 8 (16). Most-saved creators: @chase.h.ai (22), @jens.heitmann (10), @nateherkai (8). It most often appears alongside Codex (9), Playwright (8), ChatGPT (7).
Editor's take
Most of these 107 posts treat Claude Code as a harness people customize for whole jobs. Website builds are a common demo: a CLAUDE.md of design rules, the frontend-design skill and a loop where the agent screenshots and critiques its own UI (website recipe), or a DESIGN.md pasted in as a baseline (awesome-design-md). Others launch Meta ads through an Ads MCP (ads pipeline) or turn 36 YouTube videos into a linked wiki (knowledge base).
Repeated habits come largely from Anthropic's Boris Cherny: 3-5 parallel git worktrees, plan mode for complex tasks, and a CLAUDE.md updated after every correction (team tips). A counter-current says less is more: the "simple mode" strips the system prompts and Anthropic found the model slightly smarter without them (simple mode), and one creator urges auditing stale rules written for older models (setup purge). The Claude Code mastery guide collects these patterns.
Cost and limits are the main complaints. Creators reroute the harness to OpenRouter when they hit usage caps, accepting weaker tool use from small free models (OpenRouter swap), and from June 15 `claude -p` and Agent SDK runs were billed per token outside plan limits (billing split). One caption cites an analysis of 6,852 sessions claiming thinking depth fell 67% (session data); it is a single unverified report.
Codex shows up in 9 of these posts, usually as a second model that audits Claude Code's output (Codex audit). Playwright appears in 8, mostly so the agent can check its own render (design stack); Obsidian and ChatGPT each appear in 7, with Obsidian serving as the memory vault (agentic OS). Cursor appears in 6. Many posts are comment-gated teasers with little method shown. The audience is mostly terminal-comfortable builders, though a non-coder uses it to map their own app's bugs (architecture map).
Guides using it
- Claude Mastery: From First Install to Advanced Agent Architecture39 of its postsTurn a bare Claude Code install into a mastered, measured setup for one real project: CLAUDE.md, skills, hooks, MCP/CLI tools, memory persistence, parallel worktrees, and cost controls - each adopted only after it beats the prior setup on…
- Autonomous Agents in the Wild: What's Actually Working in 20267 of its postsSeparate working autonomous-agent patterns from demo-ware by building and stress-testing one narrow agent with real guardrails: a single task, one or two tools, fast feedback, hard budget and scope caps, persistent memory, and an…
- The Claude Code Power User's Toolkit: From Token Waste to Terminal Dominance5 of its postsConfigure Claude Code for one real project so it costs fewer tokens and finishes more work: a lean CLAUDE.md, primer.md, hooks, parallel worktrees, a vetted subset of the 7 repos, and output and token tooling (Caveman, codeburn). For a…
- The Claude Harness Pattern: Context, Memory, and Cognitive Scaffolding5 of its postsProduce a working, version-controlled Claude harness for one real project: a CLAUDE.md of permanent rules, a primer.md that is rewritten every session, a skills/ folder of reusable workflows, and at least one hook that self-corrects…
- Beyond Prompting: Prompt Architecture as Engineering Discipline4 of its postsTurn a working LLM feature from prompt-tinkering into measured prompt architecture: an eval set over real tasks, a context pipeline (what enters the window and from where), a persisted memory layer, retrieval where it earns its place, and…
- Buying Dead Apps — the one-person AI-native rollup4 of its postsBending Spoons went from $40k to an $18B IPO by buying stagnant software, rebuilding only what customers use, and compounding the margin. Public SaaS multiples just got cut in half.
- Mission Control for 80 Agents — Conway's law meets game UI4 of its postsOnce you run more than a handful of agents, the bottleneck is your attention, not tokens.
- The Autonomous Brand Machine: Claude Code as Your Entire Marketing Team4 of its postsBuild and test a supervised content system for one brand: an Obsidian brand vault indexed with Graphify, Claude Code generating ad and UGC-style assets in Higgsfield (Nano Banana for stills, Seedance 2.0 for video) via Playwright MCP, a…
- The Self-Improving AI Workspace: Claude Code That Gets Smarter Every Session4 of its postsBuild a Claude Code workspace with layered persistent memory - CLAUDE.md for rules, a lessons file fed by corrections, primer.md rewritten each session, a SessionStart hook that injects live git state, and an Obsidian vault structured as…
- Earned Autonomy — a three-tier router that demotes work to your own GPU3 of its postsBuild a three-tier task router (frontier, mid-tier, and a local Qwen 27B on one 24GB GPU) plus a zero tier for plain shell commands, wired into an existing orchestrator-worker setup. Each task class earns its way down the stack only…
- Every App Is Headless Now — agents that build their own control surface3 of its postsMake one legacy tool that you or a client are licensed to use agent-drivable, lawfully, and decide honestly whether wrapping it is an arbitrage or a consulting treadmill.
- Skills That Earn Their Lines — benchmark-gated self-editing plus subtraction3 of its postsBuild a two-way, eval-gated ratchet for your CLAUDE.md and skills: a held-out eval from your own history, an ablation sweep that deletes rules whose removal does not hurt, and a SkillOpt-style loop that merges only edits beating the…
- Ambient Executive Function — glanceable hardware for agents and attention2 of its postsRunning this system builds a small always-on desk object, an ESP32 driving a 2.7 inch Sharp memory LCD in a printed stand, that shows the top three lines of NOW.md and the count of Claude Code sessions waiting for approval, plus NFC tags…
- Prompt Engineering Isn't Dead — It Just Grew Up2 of its postsPrompt engineering evolved from 'add please' to a real discipline: structured frameworks, adversarial testing, llms.txt standards, and system-level prompt architecture that shapes model behavior at scale.
- The One-Person Creative Empire: AI Tools That Replace an Entire Agency2 of its postsClaude Code + Figma + Runway + Higgsfield + TouchDesigner enables a single person to produce marketing, video, interactive art, and web design at agency quality — the creative middle class is being born.
- The One-Person Studio: Creative Tech Stack That Replaces a Team2 of its postsIn 2026, a single creator with Claude Code, Cursor, Blender, and a handful of AI tools can produce work that required a 5-10 person team two years ago: interactive 3D websites, motion-captured animations, AI-assisted VFX, generative music…
