Instead of building apps that call the paid API, build your own interface that talks directly to your existing Claude Code or Codex subscription. The creator uses one to track repetitive tasks, project status and up to 100 parallel subagents in one view. It's a concept pitch with no implementation details.
10k ft — Key takeaways
• A dashboard of agent activity makes sense of many parallel subagents.
• Wrap the CLI agents you already pay for instead of adding API spend.

Do you do this already?
Here is a simple thing to do with Claude Code and Codex, that is really powerful for me. You build a user interface that runs on your existing subscription. Most of the time when people vibe code something, they ship an app that hits the API, and the credits pile up. This one talks back and forth with Codex or Claude Code directly. You already pay for the subscription, so you may as well use it.
For me it has turned into a better workflow. I keep a dashboard of my repetitive tasks. I can see where every project stands, and I can build a surface that shows me what all the agents are doing. There is a ton happening at once, tons of parallel processes, sometimes a hundred subagents running, and a surface like this keeps it all in view.
I have a bunch of cool things…

They can find a scary good, scary simple thing to do with Cloud Code and Codex. Let me know if you do this already. Basically, it's a simple concept. It's creating user interface that works with your existing subscription to Cloud Code or Codex. Let me explain. Usually, when people vibe code something, they are creating an application that then works with the API. And then you're paying these extra API credits, right? Well, it's perfectly fine, safe and sound, to create something that works back and forth with Codex or Cloud Code. You already pay for the subscription, you might as well use it. And I think it's a superior workflow for me anyway because I get to keep a dashboard of some of my more repetitive tasks. And I can kind of see where I'm at with certain projects or I can design a dashboard that lets me see what the agents are doing overall because there's tons of stuff going on and tons of parallel processes. And if you're using this stuff like me, you sometimes got maybe up to 100 different subagents going off and you can't tell what's going on. So man, I've got a bunch of really cool things that I like to do and I like to use. If you're interested tap in, I'll share some more stuff. Let me know if this sounds cool. Take care.
