You’re probably running Claude Code out of your terminal right now. I wish someone told me sooner why that’s holding you back. Here are my top 3 IDEs that changed the game for me: VS Code — free, reliable, massive extension library Cursor — VS Code fork with native AI integration throughout Google’s Antigravity — one-shot frontend designs using Gemini models The biggest benefit? You get a window into how the AI is actually executing. Better visibility. Better control. Better organization across all your project. #claudecode #vscode #claude #vibecoding
Transcript excerpt
I wish I was told sooner about using an IDE for Cloud Code as it would have saved me a ton of time when getting started as a beginner. An IDE is an integrated development environment, and if you're still running Cloud Code out of your terminal, here are my top three IDE that I recommend switching to. The first one is VS Code. It's completely free, super reliable, and has a huge library of extensions to assist you in your work. The second one is cursor, which is an alternative version of VS Code, also known as a fork, but what's special about cursor is that it has native AI integration throughout the whole software to assist you when working with Cloud Code. And lastly is Google's anti-gravity. This is really good for builders and designers because you can integrate your Cloud Code directly and one shot front end designs or app designs by leveraging Google's models like Gemini within it. And the biggest benefit between all three of the systems is that it gives you a window into the inner workings of how the AI is executing, which gives you better visibility and control than if you were just using the terminal. Whichever one you choose, your ability to keep organized with all your projects is definitely just going to level up for all your future ones because that's what it did for me.
