Transcript excerpt
I taught Claude how to text and now I don't even open the app. Most people put Claude on their iPhone and then keep doing everything themselves. Meanwhile, I just text Claude what I need. He takes it from there and lets me know when it's done. So if Claude's just sitting on your phone with nothing to do, let's fix that. Here's how to set it up. Inside your shortcuts app at the bottom of the screen, tap automation and create one that runs whenever you send yourself a text message that contains slash Claude. Then hit next and create a new shortcut. First, you want to make sure that the Claude app is open and running in the background. So add an action to open the Claude app. Next, use a text action to combine Claude's instructions with your incoming message. Use an action to ask Claude, link it to that text box and then text yourself the response. So now instead of sending myself reminders, I just message Claude and he handles it. So no, I don't use the Claude app anymore because now Claude and I are texting. And if your AI assistant is still waiting for instructions, fix that and follow for more ways to make your tech do the job you hired it for.
