Editor's take

In these 14 posts Obsidian is rarely a standalone note app; it is the memory layer for an AI agent: a vault, which is just a folder of markdown files, that Claude Code reads and writes. Claude Code is tagged in 7 of the 14. @chase.h.ai suggests running Claude Code inside a vault as a markdown-native assistant ten Claude Code plugins, later calls the vault the memory system of an "agentic OS" agentic OS blueprint, and points to kepano/obsidian-skills, which the caption says was built by Obsidian's CEO seven repos. @cooper.simson's agent file tree links the whole folder structure to Obsidian and GitHub for version control agent file tree.

The second cluster is knowledge graphs. @tenfoldmarc runs the Graphify skill on a Claude folder, then opens that folder as an Obsidian vault graph-memory skill, and @marc.kaz shows the same one-command graph landing in a vault codebase graph. The 71.5x token-reduction figure in one caption is not backed by anything in the entries. @jens.heitmann pairs Obsidian with Karpathy's LLM-Wiki document and says any file system Claude Code can see would also work second brain overhaul. See the Claude second brain guide.

Some push back. @jesserurka says most people copy the same basic template and builds a custom librarian agent for clients client knowledge system, while @jonathonmj claims a plain vault "doesn't fire neurons" and pitches his own product, which one commenter called "larp" Neurolinked pitch. A viral post about an Anthropic engineer's 8,893-node vault cites no source viral vault. The tag is incidental in some posts, such as a MemPalace memory demo MemPalace and a Loom-to-skills recipe self-improving startup.

It suits Claude Code users who want context to survive between sessions. Beginners get @alex2learn's walkthrough: install Obsidian, create a vault folder, drop exported data into it vault walkthrough.
