Fish Audio phone agent — AI receptionist that gathers context then hands off
50k ft — Why care?
A support line where a Fish Audio voice agent on a Twilio number discloses it is AI, asks consent to take notes, collects context into database tables, then calls you, briefs you and merges the call. Repeat callers get their history recalled. The agent never tries to resolve issues itself, avoiding Taco Bell-style failures.
10k ft — Key takeaways
• Brief the human then merge calls to cut resolution time
• Disclose AI and ask consent for notes upfront
• Persist caller context for repeat calls
• Use the voice agent for intake and context, not resolution
5k ft — Tools & techniques
Fish Audio, Twilio
AI agents, caller context memory, human handoff, workflow automation

Ai customer service has been like my most requested video. I think pretty much all AI customer service is annoying except when it runs a workflow like this.
Per usual, if you want the prompts, comment “phone” and I’ll send em over

Transcript excerpt
AI engineers are looting Taco Bell. Do you know why their AI customer service totally failed? After putting over a billion into this, turns out they were measuring the wrong things the entire time. You know what? I'm just gonna give an example. This is a guy named John. Dude calls your business line and an AI agent picks up. You already built this AI agent by giving this prompt to your AI of choice. It helped you set up Fish Audio, connected it to a Twilio phone number using this Fish Audio model, and then connected it to a few database tables like this. Your Fish Audio agent looks up John's phone number, and notices that homie has never called us before. So the agent introduces itself, saying it's an AI whose entire purpose is just to connect you to a real human. Asking John if it's okay if it takes a few notes about John during the call. Fish Audio agent then proceeds to ask a few questions, all while saving all of that context to those tables. Once Fish Audio is done, it then calls your number, briefs you on the situation, and then merges the calls together. Instead of wasting time asking questions, you jump straight on in and get him the help that he needs. Next time John calls back, Fish Audio agent pulls all of his context and preferences, jumps right back in being like, yo, did you resolve that problem or is this something new? Time for resolving John's issue drops dramatically, but the agent isn't doing anything besides like collecting context. So there is zero risk…
