There is a free app putting artists work in front of people searching for art to buy, and most painters ignore it. It is Pinterest, used as a search engine, not for memes. Instagram shows your work to people who already follow you. Pinterest shows it to new people actively searching, and a single pin keeps working for years. How to set it up: One. There's a free app putting artists work in front of people actively searching for art to buy. And most painters ignore it completely. It's Pinterest, not for memes. As a search engine for your work, here's how to use it. Instagram shows your work to people who are already following you, if we're lucky. Pinterest is a visual search engine, where people go looking to buy art, to frame, to commission, and one pin can send people to your work for years. Long after an Instagram post is dead, here's how to set it up. The first thing is to make sure you have a free business account. It unlocks who is actually finding you. Two is to pin your work as tall, high quality images, vertical takes up more space, and get seen more. Three, write every caption like a search, not my latest piece. Write what somebody would actually type. Large, blue, abstract painting for a living room. Four is to link every pin back to where people can buy or contact you. That's the point. Turn a search into a site. Five is to pin consistently. Five a week beats 50 a day. Do this for a month, and you have a search engine bringing people to your art while you sleep without fighting the algorithm. Follow for more honest ways I'm going to get your work visible.
