50k ft — Why care?

Creator gives GPT-6 Astra $10k to trade, rerunning an earlier Claude experiment that reportedly beat the S&P by 8% in a month. Six scheduled Codex tasks per day read news, open, review and manage positions, all posting into one shared thread for visibility. No results yet; setup doc gated behind a comment.

10k ft — Key takeaways

• One-month S&P outperformance is noise, not evidence. • Single shared thread for all scheduled agent runs makes reasoning auditable. • Structure: news read, entry, review, management as separate scheduled checks.

Transcript excerpt
I just gave GBD-6 Astra $10,000 to trade stocks for me. Now, I actually did this before with Claude, and after a month, I was beating the S&P by 8%, which is pretty good. But now that we have Astra and it's even better, I'm gonna run this challenge back. I basically have these routines set up where I have these six checks throughout the day to read news, to grab new positions, to review them, to manage them. And what's so cool about this is that this is all being set up inside of Codex as a scheduled task using GBD-6 Astra, and all of these scheduled tasks will talk in the same thread. So I can literally just view this in one spot and I can see what they're doing, see what they're thinking about, and see what actions are being taken. So make sure you follow along if you wanna see how this challenge turns out. And if you want the full doc that shows you exactly how to get all this set up, then just comment AstraTrade, and I'll send it over for free.
