100k ft — What is this?
Pete Mauney 'folded time' — real-time Newark and LaGuardia air-traffic video
50k ft — Why care?
Photographer Pete Mauney's video experiment over the New Jersey Turnpike: aircraft departing Newark and lining up for LaGuardia, all moving in real time, framed to feel like time folded. A study in finding new ways to look at an old subject.
10k ft — Key takeaways
• Re-shoot a familiar location in motion to reveal hidden patterns
• Real-time multi-layer motion can feel like compressed time
5k ft — Tools & techniques
(no tools tagged)
long-take observational video
1k ft — Deep-dive / try it
