50k ft — Why care?
Fundrise's newly listed VCX closed-end fund trades around 25x its net asset value (about a 2,000% premium). Cheaper exposures named instead: Kraken Robotics as an Anduril supplier, Amazon for its Anthropic stake, and a Canadian private-asset fund near 1x NAV for OpenAI and SpaceX exposure.
10k ft — Key takeaways
• Always compare a listed fund's price to its NAV before buying hype
• Public proxies (suppliers, stakeholders) can give private-company exposure at fair value

Transcript excerpt
If you invested $10,000 into VCX on Thursday, today you would have roughly $125,000. Fundrise's private startup ETF, VCX, is trading at around 25 times its NAV or Net Asset Value. So that's not two, not three, but 25 times. So the underlying portfolio is worth around $19-20 per share. At $490, you're paying about 25 times the NAV. That's like a 2000% premium. And it's as dumb as it sounds. And the reason why VCX is ripping is because they just started trading, and it offers regular people like you and me the opportunity to invest in private companies like these. But let's be for real, buying at these prices makes absolutely no sense. So this is how you can own similar names without lighting your money on fire. The first way is to own Kraken Robotics, which is often known as a proxy to Enduro, because they supply sonar and batteries to their systems. The second way, Amazon actually has a 15% stake in Anthropic. So when you buy Amazon, you get Anthropic by proxy. And you also own AWS and the whole other AI stack. And if you want to own OpenAI, SpaceX, Canva, etc., SAC Capital is a small-cap Canadian private asset fund that trades at around one time its NAV. Anyway, the hype is crazy, don't fall for it. If you're curious what I'm trading or what's in my portfolio, comment the words down below and I will DM you.
